Companies are celebrating the return of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival with limited items and promotions. Sapporo Breweries debuted Yamakasa beer cans in Kyushu and Okinawa prefectures. The sixth edition of the product shows the lyrics of “Iwaimedeta” along with the illustration of a kakiyama float. Niwaka Sempei Hompo Toundo sells crackers with official characters of the festival. Also, Oriental Hotels & Resorts offers special accommodation packages at its three hotels in Fukuoka City, allowing guests to experience kioimizu water splashing and get Yamakasa-designed goods.
