Until the end of this month, the tulips can be viewed inside the 180sqm greenhouse in Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. The tulip bulbs have been kept in chilled storage since summer, and were planted in the greenhouse timed to bloom in mid-winter, rather than spring. It’s the first time for this trial to take place at Uminonakamichi. The greenhouse interior is modelled after a European garden with tulips, plus 1,000 colorful pansies and anemones.
