The Mechanics and Electronics Research Institute of the Fukuoka Industrial Technology Center has launched the Fukuoka Electronics and Technology Network to promote ties between companies and research institutes to promote the development of electronics products by local firms. Their focus will be on the development of medical and assistive robots and machinery. The network has connected a total of 200 companies of different sizes and universities. They’ve already begun a class on the measurement technology for magnetic waves, which is required to commercialize electronic devices.
