Everyone enjoyed Canadian food, drinks, music, games, prizes, and a special live stage performance. The selection of booths displaying and selling fine Canadian products included Canadian barbeques (Broil King), Canadian VIBERG boots (Empty Garage), maple syrup (Hirata Sangyou) and Canadian bikes and kayaks (Southern Works). The array of Canadian food and drinks on offer included delicious Canadian lobster, Canadian beef, Canadian pork, pancakes with maple syrup, poutine, ginger ale, Canadian beer, wine and more! As the party went on, competition was tight for the Canadian Trivia Quiz and Best Dresser awards, and guests slammed down bottles of Canada Dry ginger ale for the speed drinking competition. In one of the night’s many highlights, Canadian performer Micaela sang the Barenaked Ladies’ best hits with backup by Ben, to a full house of over 1,200 party guests! BIG thanks to all sponsors and volunteers- without whom the night could not have happened... Fukuoka Canada Day 2012 was sponsored by Nitto Shoji, SFoods, Agriculture Canada, The Canadian Embassy, Fukuoka Canada Society and Hotel Il Palazzo. Check our photo gallery and video report (coming soon) and re-live the night. We can’t wait to do it all again next year, even bigger! Oh, Canada!"}
