In reaction to the investigation\u2019s results, the Liberal Democratic party office stated that the politicians in question were not being lazy, but rather encouraging junior politicians to interact and ask questions in the meetings. However, a National Parliament researcher from Tokyo University disagreed with this reasoning, stating that the senior politicians\u2019 many years of experience has given them specialised knowledge that should be shared with the junior politicians, and the entire assembly.
