On Apr. 1, the university obtained the former offices of JST Innovation Plaza Fukuoka, an independent administrative agency scrapped under the previous DPJ-led administration, free of charge. The university says it will open a \u201crental lab\u201d where it can conduct joint research with local companies in the building and take advantage of the concentration of IT companies in Momochi to strengthen its research in cutting-edge fields such as human factors and ergonomics.
