The cooperative began exports of the amberjack to Macao, China, earlier this month. The cooperative has created a local brand called Umi no Okan, which is fed on a mixture of tea leaves and shochu lees to give the fish a distinctive flavor. They produce 1.2 million fish a year, and already export them to four other overseas countries and territories, including Hong Kong and Dubai."}
