This year is no exception, with fourteen bands and individual musicians set to bring their passionate performances to the Beat Stage in 2017. Alongside various dance performances, artistic installations, the sandy beach, and great food and drinks, these musical groups will set this year\u2019s festival alight with their flair. Carlos Cespedes<\/strong> &#8211; Renowned Cuban composer, conductor, and singer Alexander Lavolde formed the group Puros Habanos in 2007, and their organic, upbeat sound has brought them acclaim throughout Japan and internationally ever since.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paco Renteria<\/strong> &#8211; Mexican guitarist Paco Renteria has wowed audiences with his improvised masterpieces for over two decades, and he has appeared on multiple Hollywood soundtracks as an internationally recognized pioneer of flamenco composition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pinto con Pintura<\/strong> &#8211; This seven piece ensemble from Fukuoka were formed in 2012 and have toured Japan extensively sharing their Cuban flavor fused with Japanese personality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fukuoka Joe<\/strong> &#8211; Fukuoka-based jazz sextet Fukuoka Joe have been producing bop jazz sounds for over twenty years and look forward to returning to Isla de Salsa for another great year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bogey<\/strong> &#8211; Bogey is a jack of all trades, including writing, illustration, DJing, etc., and the punchy guitar and vocals of this father of three will surely get you dancing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hakata Industry High School Music Department<\/strong> &#8211; Hailing from Hawaii, this hot salsa band has brought vibrancy and soul to their various collaborations over the years including Celia Cruz and Poncho Sanchez, and look forward to working with Fukuoka group Pinto Con Pintura at this year\u2019s Isla de Salsa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Almoraima<\/strong> &#8211; With four albums to their name so far and extensive appearances throughout Europe, the sounds of the Middle East are married with flamenco passion in the lively work of this group from Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rijchary<\/strong> &#8211; The lightness of pipes is brought together with soaring vocals, percussion and guitar by the four Peruvians making up Rijchary, the Nippon TV series \u2018Throat Jam the World\u2019 champions for Spring 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orquesta Yambe<\/strong> &#8211; This multinational band based in Nagoya includes musicians from Japan, Peru, and Bolivia, and has been bringing passionate salsa sounds to the Japanese Latin scene since 2010.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Machao Arriba<\/strong> &#8211; The smooth sound of jazz and Latin rhythm are melded beautifully by Machao Arriba, a Fukuoka-based ensemble that continues to mesmerise audiences with their musicianship and passion for performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Takeshi Kitagawa<\/strong> &#8211; A guitarist of exceptional skill and melodic sensitivity, Takeshi Kitagawa\u2019s performances of dynamic original compositions have taken him all over Asia and are sure to captivate all who have the pleasure of watching him perform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Didjemaka <\/strong>&#8211;
