Many regard the Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II (1552-1612) as a great guardian of art and science. This exhibition gives visitors the chance to see a range of unique handicrafts and inventions by the artists he cherished. Approximately 120 pieces of art and artifacts will be on display. The exhibition offers not only a glimpse into Rudolf\u2019s eccentric mind, but also insight into a time when the lines between science, magic, and occult practices were blurred. There is also a selection of art including a portrait of the Emperor by Giuseppe Arcimboldo, an Italian painter known for creating people\u2019s faces out fruits, plants, and vegetables will be another highlight of this exhibition.<\/p>\n
