Join a laid-back marathon and take a dip in Beppu\u2019s hot springs at the same time! The Beppu Furo Marathon is part of the Beppu Hatto Onsen Festival. The title plays with the fact that \u201cfuro marathon\u201d (bath marathon) sounds like \u201cfuru marathon\u201d (full marathon). Participants can join three types of furo marathon: the Cho Furo Marathon (\u00a54,500, 88 onsen, total distance of 88.195 km), the Furo Marathon (\u00a53,500, 42 onsen, total distance of 42.195 km) and the Half Marathon (\u00a52,500, 21 onsen, total distance of \u00a521.195 km). The aim is for participants to make it around the total number of onsen by whatever method of transport they\u2019d prefer within four days. Reception will open at 6:30 on the day, and participants will be given a stamp rally card, participating facilities list, rulebook, onsen festival pamphlet, onsen book and onsen passport. <\/p>\n
