For the first time in two years, the Hakataza Theater will present a Grand Kabuki performance in June. The matinee performance will be “Matsu no Hagoromo\uff08\u677e\u5efc\u7fbd\u8863\uff09,” a dance adaptation of a Noh play, and “The Love Affair of Yosaburo and Otomi\uff08<\/a>\u4e0e\u8a71\u60c5\u6d6e\u540d\u6a2a\u6adb\uff09,” starring Onoe Kikunosuke. The evening performance will be “Keisei Hangonkou\uff08\u50be\u57ce\u53cd\u9b42\u9999\uff09,” a popular play based on a period joruri<\/em> play written by Chikamatsu Monzaemon, and “The Zen Substitute<\/a>\uff08\u8eab\u66ff\u5ea7\u7985\uff09,” a humorous dance play based on a major kyogen<\/em> play. If there are empty seats left 20 minutes before the start of the performance on the day of the performance, you can take advantage of the special student price, which allows you to see the play at half price with your student ID.<\/p>\n
