For this walk, I’ll be accompanied by Eri Anderson, <\/span>Curator at the Dazaifu Tenmangu Cultural Research Institute.<\/span> Dazaifu Tenmangu is easily one of the best-known and most often visited shrines in Fukuoka, <\/span>but did you know it has long been an important center of the arts?<\/span> Eri will show us and talk about the seven permanent artworks on the shrine’s precincts and an introduction to Sugawara Michizane, the deity of learning, culture, and arts to which this shrine is dedicated.
