The 54th Fukuoka City Art Competition will be held from March 28 \u2013 April 2, 2023. The residents of Fukuoka metropolitan area and within the city limits were invited to submit art in the seven categories. The exhibition will feature 423 prize-winning and award-winning works in seven categories (Japanese style painting, Western-style painting, sculpture, crafts, calligraphy, photography, and design) selected from a total of 720 entries. This year’s grand prize-winning work was the Western-style painting “Josuiren (\u30b8\u30e7\u30b9\u30a4\u30ec\u30f3)” by Satoru Imoto, which depicts the lotus pond at the Fukuoka Castle ruins.<\/p>\n
