As the name suggests, special effects (tokusatsu<\/em>) are created using unique techniques. In the past, art staff would build miniature sets of urban landscapes and mountains, while modelers crafted suits for monsters and other creatures. Actors would then wear these suits to bring the scenes to life on film. In this exhibition, we showcase the charm of special effects that have evolved from the Showa era to the present day. We display authentic materials such as suits and models used in Toho special effects films, including Godzilla, as well as intricately crafted miniature sets, to introduce the captivating world of tokusatsu<\/em>.<\/p>\n
