The matinee program at Hakataza will present a dynamic mix of performances. Starting with the vibrant and elegant festive dance “Kuruwa Sanbaso,” it continues with the emotive human-interest story “Ninjo-banashi Bunshich Mottoi,” which offers both laughter and tears, and concludes with “Tachi Nusubito,” a performance that combines dance and acting.<\/p>\n

The evening program will commence with “The Summer Festival,” one of the most celebrated Kamigata kyogen plays. Following this, the talented Onoe Kikunosuke will perform “Hane no Kamuro” and “Ukare Bozu,” two plays contrasting in tone and style, single-handedly showcasing his range and versatility. The evening will conclude with “The Three Kichisas,” a masterwork of Kawatake Mokuami, widely acknowledged as a significant figure in Edo theater.<\/p>\n

For those interested in watching a specific act, one-act tickets (hitomimaku-ken<\/em>) are available. These tickets allow audiences to view only one act of their preferred performance. They can be purchased at the Hakataza ticket office from 10:00 on the day of the performance, although please note the number of seats available for this option is limited.<\/p>\n
