While its origins are subject to various theories, it is widely recognized to have commenced in 1241, and this year marks its 782nd occurrence. Each year, a dedicated Yamakasa event takes place at the &#8220;Hakata Machiya&#8221; Furusato Kan, a popular tourist destination that recreates the historic dwelling, which functioned as a home, shop, and weaving studio for a Hakata weaver.
