The Itoshima competition consists of various categories:<\/p>\n
The main event covering 11.5km (3 laps of 500m sea swim, 4 laps of 2.5km run)
\nA shorter challenge course totaling 5.5km
\nA 3.3km course for high school students
\nA 2.2km course for 4th to 6th-grade elementary students
\nA 1.1km course for younger elementary students
