Homan, located on the border of Dazaifu and Chikushino cities, is a popular climbing destination that draws around 100,000 visitors yearly. The mountain is home to Homangu Kamado Shrine, which enshrines revered deities for matchmaking and protection. Once called Mt. Mikasa and Mt. Kamado, the mountain has a long history of religious and cultural significance.
