The Itoshima Leek Festival, held on the last Sunday of April each year in Itoshima, a region famous for its leeks, provides a unique opportunity to experience leek harvesting alongside the chance to savor the flavors of Itoshima. With a modest participation fee of \u00a5500 for the harvesting experience, participants not only enjoy the process of picking their own leeks but also stand a chance to win prizes if they manage to harvest close to 1kg, with the final amount adjusted for slight deviations. The festival also features sales of leek-based dishes such as “Negi Bouzu no Tempura” (Leek Monk Tempura) and Itoshima’s local specialty “Somen Chiri,” alongside a playful “Treasure Hunt Game in the Paddy Field” for getting muddy and fun. Additionally, visitors can avail of special deals on Itoshima-produced goods like Ito Monogatari yogurt and Yamasue’s Itoshima Mentaiko.<\/p>\n
