The traditional event where kabuki actors arrive on boats to make their debut, called “Funanorikomi,” will take place for the June Hakataza Grand Kabuki performance. This year, in celebration of Hakataza Theater’s 25th anniversary, 13 actors, including Band\u014d Yaj\u016br\u014d, Nakamura Baigyoku, and Onoe Ukon, will participate. Departing from Seiryu Park around 2:30 PM, the boats will parade slowly along the Hakata River amidst a flurry of flower petals, lively kabuki music, and enthusiastic cheers. Spectators can watch from the riverside, waving and shouting to add to the excitement.<\/p>\n
