The popular \u201cFish Festival\u201d takes place in Nishinoura, located at the northern tip of the Itoshima Peninsula. The event features direct sales of fresh fish and live squid by local fishermen at Nishinoura Fishing Port, along with local fisherman\u2019s dishes such as tai-meshi (sea bream rice) and ara-jiru (fish miso soup). Many shops and food trucks from within and outside Nishinoura participate, offering a variety of local specialties, including mentaiko (spicy cod roe). Due to the popularity of the event, items sell out quickly, so be sure to visit early!<\/p>\n
