<\/p>\nFounded in 1855, this historic Itoshima brewery is known for its traditional Hanegi-shibori method, a lever-press technique dating back to the Edo period. This labor-intensive process relies solely on human skill, without the use of modern machinery, to extract sake.<\/p>\n
The brewery produces Tanaka 65, a junmai sake with a 65% polishing ratio, which has gained a loyal following both in Japan and abroad. This year, the event will return to its full-scale format for the first time in years. Visitors can purchase kurabiraki-exclusive sake, enjoy tastings at the kaku-uchi (standing bar), and explore a food corner featuring nine local vendors offering Itoshima specialties such as oysters and mentaiko.<\/p>\n
A free shuttle bus will run from the south exit of Chikuzen-Maebaru Station.
\nThe next kurabiraki is scheduled for April 12\u201313, 2025.<\/p>\n
