<\/p>\nOne of Japan\u2019s largest\u2014and among the world\u2019s largest\u2014festivals dedicated to Kurume Kasuri, this event brings together 25 exhibitors, including weavers and wholesalers who continue to preserve this traditional textile. The 2025 theme, \u201cDen\u30fbDen\u30fbDEN,\u201d pays homage to Den Inoue, the founder of Kurume Kasuri, and highlights how this 200-year-old craft remains a part of everyday life.<\/p>\n
The event features a fashion show showcasing new designs, with local fashion students both designing and modeling the pieces. Visitors can also browse fabric sold by weight, special-priced garments such as monpe pants and bags, and traditional Kurume Kasuri fabric rolls. Many attendees dress in Kurume Kasuri fashion, offering a chance to see the textile\u2019s unique style up close.<\/p>\n
A free shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes from 9:20 AM between the venue and Kurume Station (JR and Nishitetsu).<\/p>\n
