<\/p>\nFukuoka-based calligrapher Risa Hamachi will hold her first solo exhibition to mark 30 years of calligraphy practice and 20 years of teaching. A long-time member of WALD ART STUDIO, a space for people who create art through painting and writing, Hamachi now produces handwritten shop signage and teaches calligraphy to children and international residents.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This exhibition, the culmination of her career to date, features around 20 works ranging from traditional calligraphy to seals and new sumi-ink pieces.<\/p>\n
