2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac, a symbol in Japan of energy, action, and positive change. This exhibition showcases traditional crafts from Fukuoka and Hakata featuring horse motifs. On display are Hakata-ori textiles, Hakata dolls, Hakata hariko papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9, Martiglass, Imajuku dolls, and Hakata okiage reliefs\u2014each crafted as auspicious items for daily life. The exhibit offers a glimpse into Hakata\u2019s artisan traditions and the uplifting spirit of the horse.<\/p>\n
