<\/p>\nThe Arita Ceramic Fair is one of Japan\u2019s largest pottery markets, with more than 400 shops selling a wide range of ceramics along a 4 km stretch between JR Kami-Arita Station and Arita Station. The whole Arita area comes alive during the fair, including Arita Ser\u00e1, the world\u2019s largest Arita ware shopping complex, where specialty ceramic stores line a vast 20,000-tsubo site just off the main street.
\nAlong Tonbai Wall Alley, temporary caf\u00e9s open for visitors, and in front of Aritakan, morning rice porridge is served from 6:00 each day (300 servings daily, \u00a5700). The fair gets very crowded, so an early start is recommended.<\/p>\n
