A long-running touring event in the Chikugo area offers visitors a chance to experience Kurume Kasuri, a traditional woven textile with more than 200 years of history. Held across a region dotted with Kurume Kasuri workshops, the event includes open studio visits as well as sales of fabric, textile remnants, and handmade goods.<\/p>\n

Set amid the rural landscapes of Chikugo, the venue area can be explored by free shuttle bus or rental bicycle, allowing visitors to tour the workshops at a relaxed pace. Guests can observe artisans at work while enjoying pop-up caf\u00e9s, sweets stands, and hands-on workshops held throughout the area. On June 7 from 11:00, a Kurume Kasuri fashion show presented by Kurume University students will also take place at Kumano Shrine.<\/p>\n
