To console the spirit of Tenjin-sama, approximately 1,000 candles are lit around Shinji Pond, filling the shrine grounds with a serene and atmospheric glow.<\/p>\n<p>As dusk falls, rows of candlelights line the approach to the shrine and the pond\u2019s edge, their reflections shimmering across the water to create a solemn and evocative scene.
