On the first day, the Miare Festival features a spectacular maritime procession, with more than 100 fishing boats flying colorful tairyo-bata flags as they escort sacred objects from Oshima toward the mainland.<\/p>\n<p>The flotilla departs Oshima Port at 09:30 and arrives at Konominato Port at around 10:40. The sight of the brightly decorated fleet filling the waters off Munakata is one of the festival\u2019s most distinctive scenes.<\/p>\n<p>The Autumn Grand Festival continues for three days. The second day includes a yabusame horseback archery ritual and an offering of Shuki Chiho Fuzokumai, while the final day features Yukyu-mai and other ceremonial performances.
