Start Saturday morning with a walk, jog, or run beside the Muromi River as Muromi Kahan Koen parkrun celebrates its 50th event on Oct. 10. Held every Saturday at 8:00, the free 5 km event welcomes participants of different ages and fitness levels, with everyone free to complete the course at their own pace.<\/p>\n

Muromi Kahan Koen parkrun is part of parkrun, the international network of free, volunteer-organized community events held in parks and open spaces around the world. Since launching in Fukuoka, the local event has attracted regular participants as well as visitors from elsewhere in Japan and overseas.<\/p>\n

The course follows the riverside at Muromi Kahan Koen in Sawara-ku, providing a relaxed setting for runners, joggers and walkers. There is no participation fee and no
\nneed to be a serious runner. Participants can aim for a personal best, take an easy morning jog, walk the route, volunteer or simply come along to support others.<\/p>\n

The Oct. 10 event marks the 50th edition of the weekly gathering, organized by a local team of volunteers. New participants are welcome to join regulars and visiting parkrunners for the milestone event.<\/p>\n

Anyone who wants an official parkrun result should register online beforehand. Registration is free and only needs to be completed once, after which the same parkrun ID can be used at events around the world. Participants should bring a scannable personal barcode, either printed or on an electronic device, to have their time recorded.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> First-time participants may want to arrive a little before the 8:00 start and check the official event page for any last-minute course or event updates.<\/p>\n
