However not many tea houses can communicate in foreign languages or offer guidance to non-Japanese. \u2018Tea Ceremony with the Sheep\u2019 organized by NPO Hearty Care Foundation, they welcome both beginners and foreigners to experience traditional ochakai (tea ceremony) in a small yojihan tearoom. Even if you\u2019re not familiar with ochakai manners, or cannot speak a word of Japanese, you are welcome. A beginner friendly ceremony with detailed explanations and English via interpreter will be provided. It\u2019s a great chance to discover one of Japan\u2019s most unique and long-standing traditions. Oh, and about the title \u2018Tea Ceremony with the Sheep\u2019. 2015 its the Year of the Sheep &#8211; so that\u2019s why! The event will be conducted in English and Japanese. Please dress in neat clean clothes and note that jeans not permitted. Be sure to wear or bring socks.
