For those not up to speed, \u201cSazaesan-dori\u201d is a municipal road in Fukuoka\u2019s Sawara-ku which was renamed so in 2012, in honor of the nationally popular comic \u201cSazae-san\u201d. Ms. Machiko Hasegawa, author of the anime, was said to have conceived the idea for the Sazae-san series whilst in Fukuoka\u2019s Sawara-ku.
