<\/p>\nDaimaru launched their Valentine\u2019s Day promotion \u201cHakata Chocolate vs. World Chocolate\u201d on Feb. 1, with visits from renowned international chocolate makers – Pierre Ledent (Pierre Ledent Ma\u00eetre Chocolatier) and Yannick Chevolleau (GODIVA Chef P\u00e2tissier Chocolatier Glacier, Japan & Korea) scheduled for later this week. Valentine’s sweets from local chocolate shops are now available on the B2F, while international chocolate brands, including \u201cd\u2019IVOIRE\u201d from Belgium, and \u201cJacques Genin fondeur en chocolat\u201d from France are on display on 1F \u201cAntenna Plus\u201d. Local shops include Yakuin-based, renowned p\u00e2tisserie \u201c\u30d5\u30e9\u30f3\u30b9\u83d3\u5b5016\u533a\u201d which will introduce a \u201cStrawberry Chocolate\u201d using Fukuoka\u2019s \u201cosanago\u201d strawberry (\u00a51,260 for 24 pieces), while Higashi-ku chocolate shop \u201cOpera\u201d introduces the unusual \u201cChoco Salami\u201d (\u00a5840 each) – a chocolate resembling salami meat. Other local shops represented include \u201cLe Conche\u201d (only available at Hakata Daimaru), and Kyushu\u2019s only outlet of \u201cBaby Mon Cher\u201d. For the main events, famous chocolatiers from Belgium will visit Fukuoka. Yannick Chevolleau (GODIVA Chef P\u00e2tissier Chocolatier Glacier, Japan & Korea) will make a special appearance at Daimaru on Feb. 7., and Pierre Ledent (Pierre Ledent Ma\u00eetre Chocolatier) will appear on Feb. 9.
