The four teams competing in Fukuoka are: Japan, Brazil, Cuba and China. The 2013 WBC will see 28 teams enter, up from 16 in 2006 and 2009. The first-round games will be in a round-robin format, with the second-round being double elimination. Tokyo will be one of the locations for second-round games, and the semi-finals and final will take place in San Francisco, USA. Six players from the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks have been selected to join Japan\u2019s team for the World Baseball Classic 2013 tournament. Japan\u2019s team for the series has a total of 34 members, including the following Hawks players: Tadashi Settsu (pitcher), Kenji Odonari (pitcher), Mitsuhiko Morifuku (pitcher), Nobuhiro Matsuda (infield), Yuichi Honda (infield), and Seiichi Uchikawa (outfield).
