The \u201cLove Earth Clean Up\u201d annual event sees volunteers gather and collect rubbish scattering the coast, rivers and mountains in Fukuoka. The event has been running since a 1992 conference held in Fukuoka, with the theme of \u201cGlobal Environment &amp; Regional Action&#8221;. The conference prompted activity not only in Kyushu, but in Hokkaido, Ishikawa and even Busan (South Korea). Since then, more than 10 million volunteers have participated in the event. Anyone can take part in the \u201cregional environmental beautification\u201d activities on Sunday, May 27- so gather your friends and family and show the city you care!
