\nAt 10:00 on May 31 (Tue.), white-clad Shinto priests harvest irises, which the miko<\/em> (shrine maidens) then hold during a sacred dance. <\/p>\n
\nThe stage performances and concerts include the Fukutsu Wind Orchestra on May 29 (Sun.) at 15:45, Women\u2019s Chorus on Jun. 4 (Sat.) at 13:35, and belly dance performances on Jun. 12 (Sun.) at 14:30 and 15:30. You can also join in a country dance workshop on Jun. 4 (Sat.) at 12:40. <\/p>\n

\nFrom Jun. 3 (Fri.) to Jun. 5 (Sun.), 10:00~17:00, gourmet food trucks and booths will be set up, serving delicious food from all over Kyushu. <\/p>\n
\nThroughout the event (May 28 to Jun. 12), various vendors will sell a wide variety of objects from across Kyushu. These vendors are set up in five different areas:<\/p>\n
\nPeruse glassware, including cute glass figurines of shaped like animals, and Karatsuyaki (ceramics from Karatsu) – pick up a new vase, sake cup or coffee server. In this area there will also be a curry stall and a gelateria from Aso. <\/p>\n
\nBuy clothes and scarves dyed using natural colors extracted from plants. Browse secondhand kimono<\/em> and kimono<\/em> accessories, and traditional crafts such as ikkanbari<\/em> (bamboo baskets wrapped in Japanese paper and colored with sour persimmon).<\/p>\n
\nBrowse Hakata ceramic bells in all the colors of the rainbow; these are considered a talisman (hang it by your doorway) and each unique bell makes a slightly different sound! There are also fabric accessories, such as brooches and phone charms, homemade snacks and more. <\/p>\n
\nPurchase postcards with hand-drawn illustrations, colored paper and handmade bamboo crafts (cheaper than you might find elsewhere). There will also be craft demonstrations in this section. <\/p>\n
