<\/p>\nTanabata season is upon us – the time when we celebrate the long-distance love of deities Orihime and Hikoboshi, who are separated by the Milky Way except for one day of the year, Jul. 7. Fukuoka Tower is hosting numerous events to coincide with this special time. <\/p>\n

\nFrom Jun. 17 (Fri.) to Jul. 7 (Thu.), Fukuoka Tower is decorated by a special milky way design. <\/p>\n
\nTo celebrate the big reunion of Orihime and Hikoboshi, special five-minute-long illuminations are shown on Jul. 7 (Thu.) (20:00~, 21:00~, 22:00~). An angel shoots a heart with a bow an arrow, and it explodes into many little hearts. <\/p>\n
\nAt the fifth floor observation room (top floor, 123 m high), visitors can write their wishes on a piece of paper (a tanzaku<\/em>) and tie it on a bamboo tree – all of these wishes will then be dedicated at Kamado Jinja Shrine (many pray there for match-making and marriage). Available from Jun. 17 (Fri) to Jul. 7 (Thu.). <\/p>\n
\nCouples in a long distance relationship (must live in different prefecture or further, must provide proof of addresses) can get a discount from Jun. 17 (Fri) to Jul. 7 (Thu.). Two adult tickets would usually cost \u00a51,600, but with this deal cost only \u00a51,000.<\/p>\n
\nAt the plaza in front of Fukuoka Tower from Jul. 5 (Tue.) to Jul. 7 (Thu.), visitors can enjoy yakitori<\/em>, candied apples, goldfish scooping and so on. There will also be a live performance on Jul. 7 (Thu.).<\/p>\n
\nVisit the Fukuoka Tower observation tower wearing a yukata<\/em> or jinbei<\/em> and your ticket will be half price. Valid from Jul. 5 (Tue.) to Jul. 7 (Thu.).<\/p>\n
