The Studio Kura AiR program offers foreign artists a chance to draw inspiration and create works from the surrounding Japanese rural scenery, as well as end their journey with their very own exhibition at the studio’s gallery. During the artist’s four or eight-week long stay, the program also provides a meeting point between AiR participants and artists or art enthusiasts from the local community. From 15:30 on Jul. 23 (Sat.), there will be an opening party and talks by the artists.

Art by: Elise Broadway (left) and Ien Dobbelaar (right)

Elise Broadway
This Pennsylvania-based painter and visual artist presents “Studies of Hiroshima”.
