Men carry and pull huge elaborate floats around a set course. At night, the floats are illuminated with lanterns. On Jul. 23, dress up in <em>yukata<\/em>, the traditional Japanese summer dress! Rent a <em>yukata<\/em> or wear your own at Patria Hita (1-8-11 Sanbonmatsu, Hita, Oita) (\u00a5500 if you bring your own, \u00a52,000 to rent) (inquiries 090-3906-6604).
