On Oct. 24 (Mon.), an ox-drawn carriage pulls an ornate <em>mikoshi<\/em> (divine palanquin\/portable shrine), while children in traditional <em>kimono<\/em>, <em>tachi-eboshi<\/em> (brimless headgear worn by court nobles) and <em>tengan<\/em> (crowns) walk in parade, starting at Kushida Shrine and weaving around the Hakata area.
