This care method originated in France approximately 40 years ago and focuses on eye contact, respecting each patient\u2019s dignity and reducing the burden on nurses. It has been practiced in facilities throughout Japan for the last five years, but it is rare to see a local government take the decision to spread the Humanitude model throughout their municipality.
