The lake covers approximately 226,000 square meters and is known throughout Japan, while the total park grounds spread out across 398,000 square meters. Visitors to the park can take a rental boat out around a 2 km section in middle of the lake that has been specially cordoned off. Five new rowing boats featuring a Hakata-ori style design are now available for rental.
