The city has been exploring the possibility of introducing a gambling complex, along with the help of Nagasaki Prefecture. The possibility of setting up a new casino complex is being pushed by the city, stressing that numerous publicly-operated gambling facilities such as <em>keirin<\/em> (bicycle racing), <em>keiba<\/em> (horse racing), and <em>pachinko<\/em> parlors are already in existence.
