According to the president of JR Kyushu, Toshihiko Aoyagi, the two companies have partnered to manufacture a new type of train window where tourism information can be displayed according to the train\u2019s location. The service will also interact with passengers&#8217; smartphones and tablets and provide information such as local souvenirs and tourist attractions in multiple languages including English, Chinese and Korean. A test will start on JR Kyushu&#8217;s D&#038;S (design and story) train Isaburo Shimpei between Kumamoto and Kagoshima prefectures in spring of 2019.
