As of December 2018, the city had begun a process to fill fourteen yatai plots left open due to the closing of the previous stalls. Of the twenty-two people who passed the first cut, none of them selected Nagahama as an area to operate. The city now has six names on the waiting list and is planning to ask them if they are interested in operating in Nagahama.
