According to the Council, about 5.11 million foreign tourists visited Kyushu in 2018 and spent \u00a5404 billion. The Council has set a target of attracting 7.86 million foreign visitors and achieving \u00a51.2 trillion in tourism spending by 2023, but Fukuoka Airport is already operating near capacity, so collaboration with other airports that have capacity for take-offs and landings remains an issue.
