For nearly a year since its debut in March 2019, the train has offered three dining options, including lunch on the Tenjin-Omuta trip, dinner for the Omuta-Tenjin trip, and also a brunch service for Tenjin-Dazaifu run. The forty-minute brunch ride to Dazaifu includes cups of a premium blend coffee and a ‘yuzu dog,’ a yuzukosho spice-flavored hot dog supervised by the popular bakery Chez Sagara in the town of Tanoshimaru. The familiar-to-some scenery becomes something special when viewed from this fancy train. Reservations are highly recommended; however, only same-day tickets are available for the brunch trips – so go early!

・Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu)
・Route: Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station / depart at 9:51 ~ Dazaifu Station /arrive at 10:30.
One train per day on Fri., Sat., Sun. and hol.
・Duration: Approx. 40 min.
・Price: ¥3,000 (+tax)
・Tickets available at: Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station North Exit ticket counter between 8:00~9:15
・Ticket includes: a meal and a one-way trip fare
・https://www.railkitchen.jp/

The Rail Kitchen Chikugo, a kitchen-equipped train operated by Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd., connects the Nishitetsu stations of Tenjin and Omuta.
