Those who experience loss of taste and smell are also advised to contact such facilities. Meanwhile, NTT Docomo data showed increased visitors to the areas of Tenjin and Hakata on May 7. The first weekday after Golden Week saw a 50 ~ 55% decline in the number of people who visited downtown compared to average weekdays before Apr. 7. As the data reflects a more relaxed mood of self-restraint amidst residents, the governors of prefectures in Kyushu and Okinawa held an online meeting. They agreed to continually request people to refrain from traveling outside of their prefectures except for urgent matters to prevent a second wave of infections.
