The recently privatized Fukuoka Airport announced a \u00a5930 million loss, as it experiences a drastic decline in the number of users. Local air company Star Flyer Inc. Starflyer (-\u00a5400 million) and department store Iwataya Mitsukoshi Ltd. (-\u00a5256 million) also announced depressed figures. According to one of the local banks, the new coronavirus pandemic\u2019s negative impact is being reported by approximately 63% of their clients. Additionally, more than 60% of the major local companies stated \u201cundecided\u201d as for their business prospects for the current term (between Apr. 1, 2020 ~ Mar. 31, 2021.)
