Amongst the new patients was a man, who had been hospitalized at a local hospital. Transmission routes for all five cases are unknown. As of June 7, Kitakyushu City has recorded new infections daily for 16 consecutive days, for a total of 140 instances. Although the number of new cases has decreased over the past few days, the city continues to ask its citizens to take all possible prevention measures.
